U5 Summer Program (Players born 2019 & 2020)

One session per week - Please pick one

Start Date: Week of June 3rd

 

Monday- Co-Ed Sessions

1st session 4:45 to 5:30 - ALL U5 

Friday- Co-Ed Session

2nd session MOVED TO MONDAY

3rd session MOVED TO MONDAY

 

Location: Terry Fox Sports Complex 

Season Length: 10 weeks plus 1 Canada Fest BBQ day.  Early June to mid August.

Leadership: The Club provides curriculum/session plans.  Grassroots Lead (the Club’s summer students) run the sessions with the help of teenage coaches.    

Overview:  The goal is to have fun while learning the basics of soccer.   

Provided: Jersey and ball.

Requirements: Shin guards covered by soccer socks or long socks. Cleats are recommended but not required. No jewelry or wearable devices (with the exception of medical). Bring a personalized water bottle that is not to be shared with other players.


U7 Summer Program (Players born 2017 & 2018) 

2 sessions per week

Start Date: Week of June 3rd

 

GIRLS

Tuesdays 5:00 to 6:00 

Thursdays 6:15 to 7:15 

BOYS

Tuesdays 6:15 to 7:15  

Thursdays 5:00 to 6:00 

 

Location: Terry Fox Sports Complex 

Season Length: 10 weeks plus 1 Soccer Fest BBQ day. Early June to Mid August

Leadership: The Club provides the curriculum/session plans.  Paid teenage coaches and volunteer parent helpers run the sessions. Grassroots Leads provide support and coach the coaches.  

Overview:  The goal is to have fun while learning the game of soccer.  There will be a pre-planned practice for each session provided by the Club with activities/exercises.  Practices include station work and games. 

Provided: Jersey and ball.

Requirements: Shin guards covered by soccer socks or long socks. Cleats. No jewelry or wearable devices (with the exception of medical). Bring a personalized water bottle with your name on it.  You can not share water bottles. 

 

U9 Summer Program (Players born 2015 & 2016)

2 sessions per week

Start Date: Week of June 3rd

 

GIRLS

Mondays 5:30 to 6:30 

Wednesdays 5:30 to 6:30 

BOYS

Mondays 6:45 to 7:45 

Wednesdays 6:45 to 7:45

 ***U9 travelling league starts the end of June. All games are scheduled on Wednesdays.  Games locations are in Charlottetown and surrounding areas and games are scheduled between 5:00pm and 7:00pm.  

 

Home Field: Soccer Turf at Terry Fox Complex 

Genders: Separate female and male sessions.

Season Length: 10 week program plus 1 Canada Fest BBQ.  Early June to mid August.

Overview:  The goal would be to create four mixed ability teams of 8-10 players that are as even as possible.  Pre-planned practice for each session provided by the Club with activities, exercises and games.

Requirements: Shin guards covered by soccer socks or long socks. Cleats. No jewelry or wearable devices (with the exception of medical). Bring a personalized water bottle that is not to be shared with other players.

 

***U9 Travelling Teams Soccer Games (All registered U9 players)

Overview: This is an opportunity for ALL U9 player and their parents to experience a soccer league environment.   

Development Emphasis: Game understanding, ball control. Every player registered in U9 will get the opportunity to travel if they wish to.  This is an introduction to games. 

Genders: Separate female and male sessions. 

Day:  Wednesdays.  ***Games do not begin until start to mid July, please use schedule above until games are scheduled*** 

At registration time there is an option to travel or not. 

Time:  Stretch Practices are scheduled for Wednesdays Girls 5:30 to 6:30 pm Boys 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Games are scheduled to kick-off between 530PM-630PM

 

***U9 Players who choose not to be on a travelling team, will follow the U9 summer program through July and August please refer to the schedule above.
