History - Vision - Mission
For more than 40 years the Eliot River Ramblers Soccer Club has been creating and enhancing opportunities to participate, develop, and excel in the sport of soccer, while promoting an active lifestyle. Our vision is to provide the people of Cornwall, PEI and surrounding area with access to affordable, quality soccer programming in a safe, welcoming and fun learning environment. We are a non-profit organization with over 500 members that prides itself on inclusiveness.
We offer programs for players from age four to adult. Our members also have the opportunity to play competitively from the age of ten onwards.
Our vision is as follows:
- Our programming is player-centered in its focus and we work to ensure that our members get training and competition that is appropriate for their current level of development. This leads to both more physically active kids and adults developed in holistic ways - both the person and the soccer player. We want to be a leader in Island sport for holistic player development.
- Our programming is focused on long-term development and long-term participation. That means that in the earliest years, the love of soccer and activity begins with the ability to play and enjoy the game in a safe and fun environment without the pressure of winning. As our players grow and develop with us, they continue to play the game well into their adult years.
- Our programming is progressive and challenging. Learning and improving is fun too! The goal is to promote the highest level of individual skill development amongst all our members and to be a leader in this area across the Island soccer community.
Our mission is to promote positive experiences through supportive environments that lead to a sense of personal value and satisfaction. And we value programming that at all ages and skill levels promotes the following:
- Safety - both physical and emotional
